The Boy Scouts of America Sequoyah Council held the 46th. Flag Retirement ceremony on Saturday in Bristol, Virginia. This is the beginning of Scout Week and the continual campfire that will be manned by scouts 24/7 until Saturday Feb 13 when the Klondike Derby will end the week activities. The retirement of the American Flag procedure is to post colors, then salute the flag, TAPS is played and the Flag is burned in fire.
